- I feel much the same. After cutting down to 3-4 cigarettes/day, I completely
- stopped about 4 years ago. This last 4th of July, I was using a cigarette
- to light fireworks. Once, without thinking about it, I put the cigarette in
- my mouth, took a drag, and inhaled the smoke. It really surprised me how I
- just automatically did this.

- I think this is just because smoking becomes so entwined with all the things
- we do in our daily lives. It's also very readily available and cheap (compared
- to heroin). I've also heard of people saying that it's harder to stop drinking
- than it is to give up heroin, probably for the same reasons.
