- Maybe I am behind the times here. I didn't know there was such a
- thing as "extended wear" hard lenses (gas permeable or not). Is the
- material softer than ordinary hard lenses? Now my lenses do not irritate
- me (in the absence of an eyelash beneath them), but I am aware of them
- like I am aware of breathing. If I bother to think about them I can
- determine that they are there irrespective of my visual acuity.
