  12.               Demonstration of Machine Translation

  14. As a service to its membership, the Northern California
  15. Translators Association is sponsoring a series of tutorials on,
  16. and demonstrations of an increasingly important issue for many
  17. language professionals -- machine translation.  The first of this
  18. series will feature a representative of Systran Translation
  19. Systems, Inc., who will run a real-time demonstration of
  20. Systran's natural language translation software and services.
  21. Attendees may bring a brief sample of text (100-200 words) to be
  22. translated at the demonstration.

  35. Systran has developed 27 language pairs, offers on-line access
  36. and leasing agreements for machine translation, as well as an in-
  37. house department for full translations.
