  11. I am in search for data (i.e. example sentences) on the Portuguese
  12. personal infinitive. I am especially interested in examples where
  13. only the personal or impersonal infinitives can be used, and in the
  14. semantic and/or stylistic differences where both are possible (with
  15. illustrative examples). If you have bibliographic data as well, please
  16. let me know.
  17. Here are some concrete questions:
  18. 1) Is there some preference for one of the two constructions with modal
  19. verbs (can, want, know)? What about constructions such as "to let/make
  20. someone do something"?
  21. 2) What about the personal / impersonal infinitive after verbs of
  22. perception (see, hear) and verbs of saying (say, think, ask)?
  23. 3) What about infinitives after prepositions?
  24. 4) What about negated infinitives?
  25. Please reply directly to me (preferably with concrete examples).
