  15. Little known battery secret: recharging zinc carbons actually works
  16. well enough to be worthwhile if you recharge *before* deep discharging
  17. the cells.  They won't hold the charge for a long time but for applications
  18. like a bike headlamp that you use every night, you can save some $$
