- I recommend the Beckman series of DMM's. There are several in the $100 price
- range. I've found them to be very rugged, and they have large LCD displays with
- good contrast -- better than the Fluke line in that regard. Also, a point
- frequently overlooked, is that they have extremely long battery life -- about
- x10 longer than the Fluke's, and they're also well-shielded against rf.
