- [a long post about the virtues of EconData]
-
- I won't repost my own comments, but lest anyone think me an ingrate, I
- applaud what INFORUM at Maryland is doing. They have maintained an archive
- of economic statistics and distribute it FOR FREE to all who ask. For this
- we should be grateful, and I am. My post was only to agree that the
- updating of the material is quicker on EBB, and that EBB is provided at
- UMich for free. Your choice of which source to use should be guided by your
- demands for the data: recent stats to read and update from are probably
- more easily gotten from EBB, but archival material is best obtained from
- EconData. If Mr. Beekman takes offense at this, I am sorry, but I was asked
- for my opinion, and this is it.
