I'm looking for a FAQ regarding unguided, tripod-mounted astrophotography. I've tried a few rolls, and have had acceptable (but very improvable) results. I'm particularly interested in any info on films (I've tried Kodak gold plus 400, 1600), exposure times (this was my biggest problem short of grainyness in the 1600 prints), and the 'fogging' limit in 'near-city' light conditions. What kind of light will fog film fastest? Can someone send/post an exposure guide for common film speeds?
