  24. Considering that Adelphi wasn't founded until 1896, I'd say that it is
  25. an Alvan Clark refractor that was at least 20 years old when the 
  26. University obtained it 2nd hand.  Not that there's anything wrong with
  27. a Nth-hand Clark refractor -- just trying to put things in an historical
  28. perspective.  Did the university have a different name before Adelphi?
