- Considering that Adelphi wasn't founded until 1896, I'd say that it is
- an Alvan Clark refractor that was at least 20 years old when the
- University obtained it 2nd hand. Not that there's anything wrong with
- a Nth-hand Clark refractor -- just trying to put things in an historical
- perspective. Did the university have a different name before Adelphi?
