- I have just read news on an Italian newspaper regarding a meteor that 2 days
- ago, Jan 19, passed over northern Italy. It was around 2 a.m. and people
- heard a loud boom while the sky was being illuminated as during daylight.
- This phenomenon lasted about 10/20 seconds. Also shock waves were reported.
- Newspapers speculated that it was a meteor and that it went straight on
- Croatia.
-
- Can anybody give me some more details? Is it possible that such a meteor is
- not tracked by astronomers well in advance and no warnings are issued?
-
- Thank you for your help,
