  23. Meteorites hitting people and cars has happened before.
  24. About 25 to 30 years ago, a meteorite hit a house and struck
  25. the lady living there, and she survived with only a bruise.  I think this
  26. happened somewhere in England, and the story and pictures are
  27. on display at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles.  One of the
  28. SNC meteorite was supposed to have landed on and killed a dog.
  29. The meteorite that landed last October in Peeksville, New York, was
  30. the third or fourth occurrence of a meteorite hitting a car.  The
  31. meteorite went through the trunk.  I just happen to have a piece of
  32. this particular meteorite in my collection, and there is red paint
  33. from the car still on the fusion crust.  The car and the Peeksville
  34. meteorite will be on display at the Tuscon show next month.
