- Well, greetings from the Pacific Northwest - firewood capital of the world. Seriously, as
- we are cleaning up from the recent winstorms a bonanza of fallen logs are available and I
- would like to mill some of them into useable lumber rather than firewood.
-
- -has anyone had good/bad experiences with small, portable log milling bandsaws?
- -is it worth the effort?
- -I've heard that air dried wood is not as structurally sound as kiln dried wood; true/false?
- -what would be a fair price for a used/new machine.
-
- I'll post a summary of all responses I receive. Thanks.
