- Hey all! I'm new to this newsgroup, so pardon the insuffecient
- knowledge. I do know that when I was in my youth and thought that I was
- Immortal, we used to take crystal drano and mixed it with aluminum foil. Then
- we would put that in a glass bottle and poured some water in it and put the
- lid on tight, shook it up and tossed it and RAN like hell. It usually blew
- up and threw glass and everything else everywhere. It was a cute little
- device to blow up treehouses (in my youth of course). Sometimes it would just
- leak out the top and blow the lid off. It was a pretty effective device, and
- we were lucky we were never hurt.
- If you wanted to make a drano bomb for the mail, you could put the
- drano/aluminum foil in a glass bottle with some pins or sharp objects, and
- put water in a balloon (in the bottle already) or some kind of plastic bag.
- Then when the bottle is shook up (mailed and tossed around), the bottle or
- balloon would puncture, releasing water into the jar, and would mix with the
- drano. Then guess what happens in your local postal office? KAAAABOOOOM!
- Of course you put the jar in thin box or something. Not too much fun for
- the good old U.S. postal service, but none the less fun for some demented
- kids.
