  12. Statistic taken from a Michigan magazine. (not sure which one, lost track
  13. of the article and haven't found the exact quote yet)

  15. The article stated that hunter's were responsible for putting out 43 million
  16. (six zeros boys) BUSHELS of food this hunting season.

  18. I know that I personally put out over 500 lbs. and I am still putting some
  19. out - now that the season has been over for almost a month.  And out of the
  20. food that I have put out, I estimate (by tracks and observation) that I am
  21. lucky if 20% of it ended up in the mouths of deer.

  23. For the record, I got my first deer - a healthy little three pointer with
  24. bad lineage for horns - over my brother's wife's feed pile.  I credit
  25. the feed with distracting the deer sufficiently to allow me to take the
  26. animal down extremely quick and humane.
