- A thread has been started on rec.rural that concerns the desirability of
- putting raised bed gardens on existing leach lines. The best area on my
- property would also be on existing leach lines so I thought I would post to
- this group to get opinions on this.
-
- I am used to using raised beds and want to continue in our new location. I
- had thought you were not supposed to raise anything for human consumption
- on, or near, leach fields or lines. Is this true?? In a raised bed
- situation, would shallow rooted plants be safe? Etc.
-
- Any information on how to make it work or if I should even try would be
- greatly appreciated. Thanks.
