  22. YES, PLEASE!  I'm in Southeastern Virginia, so I'd like to know when people
  23. in Florida, Georgia, South & North Carolina start seeing the first ASY (adult)
  24. males coming back.  This'll help me know when to put the house up, since I
  25. have seen quite a bit of variability of when they show up and start squawking
  26. at my bare pole.

  35. How many years have you had martins at that site?  If they've been there a
  36. while they should at least TRY to kick out the starlings & sparrows.  We have
  37. lost some martins and martin eggs during these battles, though.  If you don't
  38. have too many starlings & sparrows around, you might try setting up other
  39. (less desirable) bird houses for them to see if they'll leave the martin house
  40. alone.  We have too many for this to work, though... we'd just be *attracting*
  41. more to our backyard.

  44. April, at the earliest.
