- I have a 1970 Olds Cutlass with a 350 motor. I recently installed a
- Crane cam from Summit. The lift is 456 and the intake and exhaust is 484.
-
- After installing the cam we still noticed some valve lash. A guy told
- me to file down the rocker assembly's and that did take care of the
- problem some. I wasn't sure that was the best thing to do to solve
- the problem. Wouldn't that cause more damage in the long run?
-
- Since the rocker assembly's were worn, I replaced them with new. It
- still has too much valve lash.
-
- Of course I have heard many different opinions (different suggestions
- from the Summet techs themselves). What I would like is your opinion
- on extended push rods. I can't seem to find them anywhere and was told
- that would solve my problem. Do you think this is what it will take
- before I dump any more money into this?
