  19. If the law is for the "safety and health" (more on that fallacy later) of
  20. its people, then why couldn't it require any dealer or muffler shop to
  21. simply replace the converter with a new one? Simple. It's the result of un-
  22. checked greenies and their inherent anti-car stance.

  24. As far as the "requirement", I personally know people who have straight-piped
  25. their cars, and they pass emissions with flying colors. Having a cat is not
  26. a necessity, you know (but you probably don't).

  30. There is a law requiring the presence of a catalytic converter for certain
  31. cars manufactured with one. There is no law requiring it to be installed by
  32. the factory should it be removed except in CO/OR/whichever bullshit greenie
  33. state mentioned. God forbid you hit a stone in that backwards assed state
  34. and rip your converter off, and send it into a shop to get it fixed.
