- I have an '89 Supra. Since the day I bought the car (new), I've been irritated
- by the amount of noise that appeared to come from the rear suspension. I get a
- mechnical knocking sound when I drive over even the slightest bumps in the
- road. Toyota's response (from the Area Rep) was that the Supra had "an
- aggressive suspension". In fact, the problem was traced to the hatchback
- rattling. In order to fix this problem, Toyota's answer seems to be tighten the
- locking of the hatchback (until the rubber bushes start to break). I still have
- this problem today!
-
- Do other Supra owners suffer from this complaint? Does anyone know if this is a
- known problem with these cars (and if there's a fix available)?
-
- Thanks, Darrell
