- I agree that slick 50 isn't NEEDED if you change your oil
- regularly. However, in older cars, such as my old Buick, when you tend
- to burn oil, it sure as hell helps. In fact, I ran out of oil 3 times
- in that V6 engine (which only had 3 well-running cyliders - probably
- forgot some oil changes along the way). It still ran without seizing
- up - 3 empty oilpans....quite impressive. I guess you could call it a
- saftey feature.
