- Well, and that sounds bogus to me. You are confusing the common market and the
- individual countries. As far as cars are concerned, it is still the countries
- themselves which are autonomous. So with the common market the situation ranges
- from Italy and France (heavy protection agains Japanese imports), Britain (some
- protection) to countries like Germany and the Netherlands (NO restrictions).
- Now guess in which countries the car industry is in trouble and in which ones it isn't.
