- Well, I have a 83 chevette. I can't say that my driving skills are
- as bad as yours, but I can say that I have driven it 100 miles a day for
- the past three years to work and back. I also drive out to California
- from Michigan every summer. It has 267000 miles. No major power train
- repairs. I am an abusive driver; meaning that when the light turns green,
- the gas peddal is burried. I have replaced the clutch three times. I
- usually drive between 70 and 75 mph to and from work.
-
- The only complaint I have is I have to change the break pads about once
- a year.
-
- The oil filter is changed every 3000 miles and I change the oil about
- every 15000 miles (Mobil 1).
-
- Oh, besides the break pads, the only other complaint is that you
- almost have to pull the engine to change the starter motor.
