- Good logic. Both the probe and the mx6 are manufactured in the same plant.
- The only difference between the two cars is that the Taurus 3.0 v6 engine
- available in the probe ls. I wonder if that could be causing the different
- ratings in consumer reports? Probe drivers are a more enthusiastic lot that
- your average (non-rec.autos reading) Taurus driver. Maybe the ford 3.0
- doesn't hold up well under hard driving?

- It would be more meaningful to compare the more detailed ratings (body integrity,
- engine, brakes, etc etc) of the probe and the mx6 as reported by CR, rather
- than look at a three word summary like `better than average'.
