- In rec.autos you write:
-
- >>I know most of Chryslers award winning mini-vans are made in Korea,
- >>Chryslers company saving LH is made in Canada, and almost ANYTHING GM
- >>makes is produces in Canada, Mexico or S. America.
-
- Wrong. The Crysler Town & Country is make in St. Louis.
- The Dogde Caravan is made in St. Louis and Canada
- The Plymouth Voyager is made in St. Louis and Canada.
-
- None are from Korea.
-
- As, for GM, I don't have time to list the all the models.
- Buick. The only buick made in Canda is the Regal.
- Cadillac All are made in the US, except the body of the Alante
- Chevrolet. The Camaro and Lumina are made in Canada. All others in
- the US according to my book. The CAvalear is made in Ohio.
- Oldsmobile All of them, even the Cutlass is made in the US.
- Pontiac The Lemans is made in Korea, I don't know about the firebird
- All others are made in the US.
-
- All the above data is fromthe 1993 issue of Consumer Guide Auto 93.
-
- Even with all the US production, the US has lost 600,000 jobs in the
- auto industry. JApanese transpant companies have created 100 000 jobs.
- So there is a net loss of half a million jobs.
