  14. I upgraded to a Sony CDP-X555ES a year ago, from an old Technics device, and
  15. frankly, I can't fault it. I was sceptical that I'd be able to hear any
  16. difference in sound quality at all but there was a startling improvement in
  17. midrange clarity on the Sony. I like the idea of the "Gibralter" chassis, and
  18. it's certainly pretty impervious to jolts. The features available in terms
  19. of disk memory and programming are many, but you probably need a one-week
  20. course on "operating the remote control" before you can take full advantage
  21. of them!
