- I upgraded to a Sony CDP-X555ES a year ago, from an old Technics device, and
- frankly, I can't fault it. I was sceptical that I'd be able to hear any
- difference in sound quality at all but there was a startling improvement in
- midrange clarity on the Sony. I like the idea of the "Gibralter" chassis, and
- it's certainly pretty impervious to jolts. The features available in terms
- of disk memory and programming are many, but you probably need a one-week
- course on "operating the remote control" before you can take full advantage
- of them!
