  50. YES this LP advocacy is more than serious...

  52. just  because  you  cant  see  spending money on high end stereo 
  53. equipment doesnt mean its not  worth.  or  else  we  should  all 
  54. consult with you before making any purchase at all.  NOT.

  56. if  you  are happy with 3rd rate MODERN technology that EVEN the 
  57. CREATORS OF have admitted IN PUBLIC is not "perfect" the  so  be 
  58. it.  it seem obvious to me NOT one person in this group pays any 
  59. attention  to  the  press that so dearly supposedly follow (well 
  60. many do!!).  if the had they would already know  that  SONY  and 
  61. PHILIPS have admitted that current CD technology is not correct. 
  62. that   they   themselves   have  supposedly  fixed  it  via  SBM 
  63. technology.  That keith o.  johnson  has  developed  yet  better 
  64. technology   than   that.   that   the   chesky   brothers  have 
  65. improved....ad infinitum.  well you should have the idea by now. 
  66. digital is not perfect.  it may be one  day  but  it  aint  now. 
  67. some  people  actually get headaches and fatigued from listening 
  68. to digital  sources.  that  CD  manufacturers  are  ripping  the 
  69. public  off  and  laughing all the way the bank.  it sis obvious 
  70. from some writers to rec.audio that they are unhappy  with  some 
  71. aspect  of  CDs.  so  what  do we have..  as usual a majority of 
  72. folks like CDs that does not make them perfect (nor does it make 
  73. LP bad or good).  BUT  CD  technology  as  EVERY  engineer  here 
  74. (stand up and be counted) will bet his left nut when saying what 
  75. he/she  can  prove  about digital.  but the fact remains that it 
  76. aint perfect.  now if you engineers know MORE than  SONY/PHILIPS 
  77. you  shoudl  be  working  for  them not pontificating here.  you 
  78. should be advancing the state of teh art so that stupid backward 
  79. LP spinners like could join the CD hoards  and  stop  destroying 
  80. our  precious vinyl.  but i dont think so.  you would all rather 
  81. blabber on about nothing cogent to solving the problems  because 
  82. you dont believe in them. well "the check isin the mail".

  85. can  ONE  of  you out there say that CDs have NOT improved since 
  86. 1978???  no i dont think so.  so why be so quick to  say  it  is 
  87. now just cause you cant here the diff???  well the simple answer 
  88. is  becuase  YOU are happy.  well accept the fact that not every 
  89. one is...even the developers.
