- I'm still reserving my judgement on MD until I can hear a comparison of an
- MD recording to a CD of the same material using a better transducer than
- some crummy demo headphones. But I found your description of the treble
- 'falling apart' interesting. It seemed to match my impression their was
- something oddly 'crunchy' about some high notes or any mid-to-high pitch
- sound with a sudden attack -- piano and cymbal stick out in my memory as
- having this strange distortion.

- I'm not usually one to engage in this kind of wine-tasting-esque audio
- babble. It's too easy to let ones imagination run wild. But I think that
- it's an interesting parallel that we might have here in our experiences.
