  14. Here's an interesting problem:  I have an old JVC portable CD player
  15. (PC-V2 1987) which plays all of the CD's I bought years ago (even
  16. the ones which are NOT in good shape...)

  18. I've noticed that I have problems playing CD's bought in the last few
  19. months, however!  There are about four CD's which my player just
  20. keeps spinning around and around trying to get the track info from,
  21. but never making it.

  23. I know the CD's are good, since another deck will play them without
  24. complaining...

  26. I'm actually just curious to see what you folks think the reason behind
  27. this might be.  Have CD manufacturing processes somehow changed in
  28. the last few years, enough so that my old CD player can't handle the
  29. difference?

  31. Anyway, it IS time to buy a new player - so if anyone has some good
  32. recommendations, I'd be most interested in hearing them.
