- Here's an interesting problem: I have an old JVC portable CD player
- (PC-V2 1987) which plays all of the CD's I bought years ago (even
- the ones which are NOT in good shape...)
-
- I've noticed that I have problems playing CD's bought in the last few
- months, however! There are about four CD's which my player just
- keeps spinning around and around trying to get the track info from,
- but never making it.
-
- I know the CD's are good, since another deck will play them without
- complaining...
-
- I'm actually just curious to see what you folks think the reason behind
- this might be. Have CD manufacturing processes somehow changed in
- the last few years, enough so that my old CD player can't handle the
- difference?
-
- Anyway, it IS time to buy a new player - so if anyone has some good
- recommendations, I'd be most interested in hearing them.
-
- Thanks,
- Oscar
