- Today I plugged my Sony portable CD player into a vintage 1965 solid state
- amplifier (Lafayette 125T) and it sounded awful. This is not a terrible
- amp, and I tested it with a tuner and it sounds fine. I tried the CD
- at various inputs, with different speakers, headphones, etc., but it
- was always the same. There is no brilliance to the sound. It's like
- an AM broadcast.
-
- Is there any known problem with this setup? Thanks in advance for replies.
