- One rule of thumb I like (and I don't remember how I came to abide by it)
- is to never show a rough draft to anyone. Something about too many opinions
- too early on.... Also, I try to get something on paper--WHATEVER it may be--
- WHENEVER I feel motivated. Thus the value of keeping a journal. Finally,if
- I don't feel motivated , I type up some of those old handwritten scraps
- (does anyone uses a pen and paper anymore?). I've found that I end
- up doing a lot of revision/rewriting under the guise of typing mindlessly.
