- Our rule is that Alvin can do whatever he likes with his toys,
- provided that it doesn't hurt anyone else's belongings. So of course
- he wanted to know why he couldn't paint on his walls (rented home). I
- said that when he was big enough to repaint the room by himself he
- could do whatever he liked (and promised to teach him to paint when
- that time came).
-
- The idea of letting kid draw on one wall was a new one. Maybe good,
- but I'm not quite sure I could explain to Vanda that _only_ that wall
- was allowed. We did not have much trouble with Alvin and the rule
- "only draw on _paper_".
