- This is contrary to a lot of stuff I've heard earlier, that if Soc Ser
- finds you've left you fifteen-year-olds alone they can take them away.

- I'm not sure which is the case, but my own childhood was not deprived, I
- too travelled alone by plane at the age of ten, and was often alone for
- short periods after school when both my parents worked. Obviously you
- can't go to Mexico for christmas and leave a 6 and 4 year-old alone, but
- there has to be reasonable rules which allow for individual differences and
- some developement of responsibility.
