You might want to take some Gastrolyte (tm) or other such powder that can
be reconstituted with water to form a solution that can be used for
rehydration in case of severe diarrhea. These are basically just salt/sugar
combinations in physiologic amounts. The advice re: water is also a good one
especially for your youngster. If it is a remote place you might consider leaving anything you don't use at the local hospital or aid station. Depending on the
exact location and situation some sort of mosquito netting might be a worth-
while inexpensive investment. Have a good trip. JR
