- Summary: 3 stories
-
- At our local McDonald's, senior citizens and kids under 8 years old
- can get free ice cream cones. After he ate his ice cream, the
- following conversation ensued:
-
- Dylan: I want more ice cream, please.
- Me: Sorry, but you know you only get one cone per visit.
- Dylan: We go through door again, get another ice cream!
-
- Nice try, kiddo.

- Two related "kids hear things differently" stories:
-
- Dylan was given a toy with traffic signs in them. He held up the
- sign for "No U-Turn" and asked me what it was. I told him "That
- says, 'no u-turn'." Dylan thought for a second and then said, "No
- you turn, no me turn, no Daddy turn."
-
- Gary was reading a book to Dylan in which an hourglass was pictured.
- Dylan pointed to it and asked what it was. Gary said it was an
- hourglass. Dylan immediately said "Not your glass, not Mommy's
- glass, not Bogie's (our cat) glass, not my glass. Our glass!"
