  19. My father is legally blind due to diabetes-induced macular
  20. degeneration, and until recently he had been using a small,
  21. hand-held magnifier (w/ light) to read the newspaper.
  22. Unfortunately, this magnifier is no longer sufficient, so he is
  23. looking for something more powerful.

  25. Could any of you please help direct me to either a specific product
  26. that you recommend, or else to a helpful, reliable dealer of such
  27. products?  He is 81 and has no computer, so what is probably
  28. required is a very powerful magnifier with a strong light
  29. attached.  Thank you very much for any references.  I don't often
