  19. Cheryl, there seems to be a lot of talk about residential schools being
  20. closed down in the States.  Have you ever heard any rumors about that
  21. happening up here?  I do know that the provincial government is cutting
  22. back on expenses to what they classify as institutions, and in some
  23. cases closing them down.  Look what happened to Clarkewood residence
  24. or was that Bakerwood on the CNIB property as an example.  And the
  25. Ministry of Community and Social Services closed most of the centers for
  26. developmentally handicapped people, including here in Whitby so my wife
  27. had to seek another job within the provincial government to keep her
  28. seniority.
  29. I am nursing a bad back
  30. caused from snow shovelling yesterday.  The storm cancelled my night
  31. school class. And on the subject of Artic Vision, I know of two Artic
  32. speech cards worth thousands that are sitting idle in two computers and
  33. cannot be touched, unless CNIB headquarters clues in and relocates them.

  35. P.S. - Tom Ross got a modem from Gail for Christmas but needs software
  36. to get it going, which I will supply, as well as do a minor repair as
  37. the bottom nut on the serial port is missing and the port pushes back
  38. into the computer when plugging in.
