- Well Doug I can't agree with you more. I as a student had a good family
- life, did attend a residental school, but did go home every weekend, and
- was able to associate with both blind, and sighted children along with
- sighted adults, and learned the proper edicate, through upbringing. If
- one attends a residental school, who has neglective parrents, some of
- the kids tended to act blind, and callow, when they grew up. That was
- because either they had neglective parrents, or they lived too far away,
- and the sighted influence had little benefit. When they graduated, and
- were thrusted into society, they had to make alot of changes. Also, I
- feel that their were those who had bad family lives, that they dreaded
- to go home on weekends, and the school was the best thing. Also as far
- as you're little bubble is concerned, it is amazing that their were
- those, who had partiall sight, who used to think that they were better
- than you and who were popular amoungst the girls, etc. who that their
- "shit stunk" who ended up in a sheltered shop doing next to nothing.
- Remember in a small residental school, you may be in that great bubble,
- but when you get out you're a very very small kog in a wheel, in the
- real world. Lynn
