  10. Hello, friend.  I'm an electrician in New York city and I'm studying to
  11. take 
  12. the NICET Class II test in Life Safety Technologies.  Does your school
  13. have 
  14. any classes/programs in this field and if so, can you forward me any
  15. details 
  16. on what the course would involve?
  17. Here in NYC there is a new law trundling down the road to the effect
  18. that 
  19. only people certified by NICET can work on the installation and
  20. maintainence 
  21. of Fire Safety Systems, which includes just about anything that relates
  22. to 
  23. Central Stations, automatic callers, sprinklers, etc, and so forth.
  24. We are also concerned about the impact of the Fire Safety related titles
  25. of 
  26. the new Americans with Disabilities Act.  
  27. There seems to be widespread ignorance of the impact this ADA law will
  28. have 
  29. on fire safety throughout the US.  Do you have any initiatives planned
  30. in 
  31. regard to training in ths field?
