  16. As of today, NYS is patiently waiting for the feds to complete their
  17. proposed revisions of the basic EMT curriculum.  So far they are one year
  18. behind schedule.  Probably we will take what they develop, but since we
  19. haven't seen it yet, there are no guarantees.......

  21. The feds will almost definitely include defib in the basic curriculum.
  22. There was some talk of epi but that seems to be out of the running now.
  23. "Assisting the patient" with nitro will probably be in,  but frankly
  24. the current curriculum and protocols already say that.  Some of the feds
  25. don't seem to realize that and are treating this like a major change.
