- If you meet the Federal requirements for checks, including but not
- limited to:
- -- the MICR code numbers on the bottom of the front
- -- the three endorsement regions on the back
- then you probably can. Lots of us use independent check printers
- (I use Current; very satisfied) who charge a fraction of the bank's fee.

- EXCEPTION: One guy posted some time back that his credit union had an
- account agreement clause that required that he use only checks
- ordered from the CU. A nice moneymaker for them, and
- legally enforceable, but most banks have no such requirement.
