- We bought our first radar detector (actually our son bought it for us) after
- a "Sneaky Cop" gave my husband a ticket when it couldn't have been us speeding.
- (I know, you're saying, "SURE!!!!).
-
- We were driving a bright red, 300Z and had just gone through a town that was a
- notorious speed trap. We slowed down below the speed limit, kept it
- there because we were looking for a turn-off. (This was not an interstate.)
- This cop stopped us, said we were doing 72 in a 40 mph zone, but said he would
- "do us a favor" and lower it to some lower speed to reduce the fine.
-
- My husband doesn't argue with cops. We paid the fine because we knew the
- judge wouldn't believe us. We had also just driven back from Florida
- averaging about 80 mph, so we sort of considered it delayed justice.
