- When there was serious talk about getting rid of the tolls on the Garden
- State Parkway, a few of the legislators who were around at the time
- the road was authorized (about 37 years ago) remembered that there was
- talk about removing the tolls once the bonds were all paid off, but
- it never was part of the law.
