- If the tickets occurred within the last 3 years then he *does* have points,
- and the insurance co. will find out about them when they query the state
- database (assuming the tickets are in his home state; and there may be some
- data sharing between states, I don't know). If they were more than 3
- years ago the insurance co. probably isn't interested in them anyway. They
- may not even ask him about his driving record, since they can get the
- info elsewhere.
