- Over Christmas Break my mother-in-law passed away.
- My wife and I were in Spokane, Washington and we had to get
- over to Seattle. My wife wanted to get there as soon as
- possible, so I called Alaska Airlines (hourly shuttles to Seattle)
- about a Bereavement Fare. It turns out that their policy is
- a flat rate Bereavement Fare - ~ $400 to go *anywhere* they fly.
- Of course, even a same-day ticket to go across the state was only
- $120.
- Moral of the story: Bereavement/Compassion does not equal
- Better/Cheaper.
