  27.   A number of bicycling clubs have advised their members *not* to
  28.   carry their drivers license/automobile registration while riding.
  29.   That way, if they are given a ticket, it will not be applied against
  30.   their license (points) or become known to insurance companies (higher
  31.   rates).  Since you don't need a DL to ride a bike, you can't be
  32.   required to show it if you aren't carrying it!  Be sure to carry other
  33.   ID though.
