- A number of bicycling clubs have advised their members *not* to
- carry their drivers license/automobile registration while riding.
- That way, if they are given a ticket, it will not be applied against
- their license (points) or become known to insurance companies (higher
- rates). Since you don't need a DL to ride a bike, you can't be
- required to show it if you aren't carrying it! Be sure to carry other
- ID though.
