  20. Valid points.  You're right, it's not the MX records, it's the fact that
  21. there was a little glitch on destroyer (and I suppose .mi.us doesn't have
  22. the .mi.org rule that you have more than one feed).  True, Msen has a
  23. business responsibility where UM doesn't, though UM has been very kind and
  24. considerate to its feeds, considering.

  28. You may be right, Ed.  That wasn't what I was talking about, though.
  29. All the mi.org sites I mentioned had other primary feeds (only one even
  30. had destroyer listed).  It was the mi.us sites that were using destroyer.
  31. So the logical decision would be to get rid of all the *.mi.us sites.

  34. The fact that mi.org is DIFFERENT from the rest of the world is OK because
  35. it is BETTER than what they have elsewhere.  Better in terms of short
  36. addresses, better in terms of a great group of people who communicate with
  37. each other and solve problems before they become serious, better in terms of
  38. a solid dependable network for mail delivery.  Would any of you push for 
  39. um.cc.umich.ann-arbor.mi.us?  Or um.cc.umich.ann-arbor.mi.ac.us?  That's what
  40. we should do if the US and Michigan aren't anything special.  If we're 
  41. going to take the "democratic" approach of cutting off the heads of every
  42. stalk of grain that is taller and better than the rest, OK, but let's
  43. recognize that for what it is.
