- Valid points. You're right, it's not the MX records, it's the fact that
- there was a little glitch on destroyer (and I suppose .mi.us doesn't have
- the .mi.org rule that you have more than one feed). True, Msen has a
- business responsibility where UM doesn't, though UM has been very kind and
- considerate to its feeds, considering.
-
- >free UUCP feeds business, especially in the parts of the state
-
- You may be right, Ed. That wasn't what I was talking about, though.
- All the mi.org sites I mentioned had other primary feeds (only one even
- had destroyer listed). It was the mi.us sites that were using destroyer.
- So the logical decision would be to get rid of all the *.mi.us sites.
- ;-) ;-)
-
- The fact that mi.org is DIFFERENT from the rest of the world is OK because
- it is BETTER than what they have elsewhere. Better in terms of short
- addresses, better in terms of a great group of people who communicate with
- each other and solve problems before they become serious, better in terms of
- a solid dependable network for mail delivery. Would any of you push for
- um.cc.umich.ann-arbor.mi.us? Or um.cc.umich.ann-arbor.mi.ac.us? That's what
- we should do if the US and Michigan aren't anything special. If we're
- going to take the "democratic" approach of cutting off the heads of every
- stalk of grain that is taller and better than the rest, OK, but let's
- recognize that for what it is.
