- I'm sure you do - you co-run a commercial provider and would stand to do
- pretty well if the U got out of the free UUPC feeds business. I for one
- am mighty grateful the U *does* provide such a service. I and quite a few
- of the people I feed can't afford a commercial provider - it's all we can
- do to maintain the hardware and phone costs to keep mail and news flowing
- smoothly in the area, and reduce our independence on just one provider.

- It *is* a valuable service - but that doesn't mean they have to assign a
- specific value (i.e. dollar value) to it. Public service can be just as
- valuable.
