  15. As the new chief of the MI.ORG domain, I'd like to make a suggestion:  Let's
  16. get rid of the domain!

  18. Seriously, I think it might be time that the domain be retired.  The folks at
  19. ISI do a pretty good job with the MI.US domain.  Any time I have sent mail
  20. to them, I've always gotten a prompt, courteous reply.

  22. MI.US is becoming increasingly populated.  High schools around Michigan are
  23. getting connected, and they are part of the domain.  There was also a lot of
  24. talk at the last IETF about reserving the EDU domain for four-year colleges
  25. and universities, and placing other schools under <state>.US.

  27. How would people feel about a slow transition to remove the MI.ORG domain
  28. in favor of the MI.US domain?  I'd still be willing to act as a front-end
  29. for people who needed some help getting registered.
