  25. One ugly way around it I tried is to sym-link gzip to uncompress and
  26. zcat, and to rename the gzipped info-files with a capital Z extension.
  27. One should be able to modify info.el to uncompress (or gunzip) files 
  28. with a .z or .zip extension, but who has the time ...
  29. I'm sure the experts will post a solution in a few days.
