- The Linux version of Bash consistently dies when I type the interrupt
- key ^C after entering the command
- <fjh:~> * * * * * *
- in a directory with about 1000 files. (With smaller directories I don't
- have time to press ^C before the next prompt returns.)

- If run in a top-level shell it just returns to the "login:" prompt.
- If run from a secondary-level shell it gives the message "IOT Trap/Abort
- and then returns to the invoking shell.
